Restaurant Pizzeria Fornata offers classic and genuine recipes, prepared with passion and skill, and served in the elegant interiors of the main dining room, in the bright glass veranda, or, in summer, also on the sunny south-facing terrace, from where you can admire the magnificent Alpine panoramas, dominated by the mighty peaks of Puez and of the Odle. Flavoursome combinations and the local ingredients of highest quality and freshness define the taste of our pizzas, enhanced by the antique charm of Longiarù and by the marvellous mountain scenery of the Badia Valley.

Longiarù: among enchanting landscapes
and ancient traditions

Located in the centre of Longiarù, Restaurant Pizzeria Fornata is not only easy to reach, but can also be used as a perfect starting point to explore this picturesque land, that has remained almost intact in recent centuries and therefore allows to admire still nowadays the ancient Ladin culture.

The scenery in this part of the Badia Valley is characterized by traditional rural settlements – "les viles". In summer, these authentic peasant communities can be seen along a spectacular trail through the Ladin farmland, called "Roda dles Viles", passable on foot or by mountain bike. The route also crosses the charming Mill Valley, where you can find 8 water mills, some of which are renovated and open for visits. The other hiking paths wind on one side towards Munt d'Adagn where the small Ütia Ciampcios hut is located, on the other towards Malga Vaciara at the foot of Mount Putia or, across the Nature Park Puez-Odle (Puez-Geisler), towards Genova mountain hut, towards the sunny Funes Valley and the splendid Val Gardena.

In winter the vast expanses around Longiarù invite for walks and snowshoe hikes through the breath taking landscapes that provide the feeling of peace and harmony. The peaks of Puez and of the Odle attract, furthermore, numerous ski touring enthusiasts, offering an unforgettable off-piste experience. And those who prefer skiing on the groomed slopes, can choose between the nearby skiing areas of Plan de Corones (Krontplatz) and Alta Badia, both included into Dolomiti Superski.
